How To Increase Your Shopify Store Conversion Rate

How many times you have wondered how to improve your store conversion rate.

No matter how much traffic you drive to your store if you are not able to convert this traffic into customers, this means you will be losing money, and most importantly you will be losing opportunities. That is why improving your conversion rate will directly mean improving your sales and profits.

In this blog post, I will show you my top 8 tips to increase your store conversion rate so make sure you follow most of them to improve your conversion rate.

If you prefer to watch the video version of this blog post you can find it here below

#1 Offers free shipping or free shipping with conditions

When buying online many things stop people from buying.

But the number one thing that stops people is paying for shipping that’s why it’s important to offer free shipping.

If you can offer free shipping to all your customer from all around the world, this would be perfect.

However I know it’s not possible for all businesses, that’s why instead you can offer free shipping with conditions, depending on your customer’s locations or business conditions (see example below)

To make this much more powerful, I recommend you to use an app called Free Shipping Bar.

This app allows you to add different shipping bars, depending on your customer’s location.

This means that if you are offering different conditions between Europe and the USA. you can set up different shipping bars.

#2 Provide high-quality photos and videos to your products

Providing high-quality photos and video is so important to online shoppers.

While browsing your store online, your customers can’t touch or see the product and that is one of the things that makes their buying decision harder.

Providing high-quality photos, that show your products and all the details makes it easier for your customers to take action and purchase your products.

This will directly improve your conversion rate and reduce your return rate.

#3 Add Product Reviews

Before buying any product most customers prefer to read reviews to make sure that they are buying a good product.

When you allow your previous customers to leave reviews, you make it a lot easier for your new customer to decide to buy from you.

To add reviews there are many apps you can use, and to know more about these apps you can check these 2 videos where I show you my top free and top paid Shopify app.

#4 Offer Free Return

People are usually afraid of making bad choices that’s why they hesitate before buying any product, and I know free returns might be extremely difficult for many businesses but this is very important because it is the best solution to facing your customers' hesitations.

When you allow your customers to return the product, you allow them to buy without risk.

When you remove the risk by offering free returns you make it easier for the client to buy from you thus you will increase your conversion rate.

If you are providing high-quality products you don't have to worry too much about returns. Your return rate will not be high because your customers will be satisfied with your products.

#5 Offer gifts with your products

I don’t know why many e-commerce stores ignore this. But offering gifts with your products is very important to increase your conversion rate.

By gifts I mean you can offer small accessories, or you can offer informational guides or informational e-books.

When you offer a gift to your client you give them an incentive and a reason to buy from you and this will directly increase your conversion rate.

#6 Improve your store customer experience

If people go to your store and they don’t enjoy their experience in your store, they will never come back.

Make sure that your website is user-friendly. As an example: make sure it loads fast, it has an appealing design and easy smooth navigation.

#7 Retargeting and email marketing

People need to see your brand and products several times before deciding to buy from you. That is why You have to create multiple touchpoints with them.

You need to set up a retargeting campaign on Facebook, using Facebook pixel, and you need to do email marketing to reach out to your visitors through emails to increase your conversion rate.

So set up your email marketing system in a way to capture your visitor’s email and reach out to them in the future using campaigns and automated flows.
