How not to get your Facebook ad account disabled

How not to get your Facebook ad account disabled

Having your Facebook ads account banned is one of the most common problems people face when they are starting with e-commerce or with dropshipping, especially if you are just starting out!

In this blog post, we will see the best practices you should adopt to protect your ad account and avoid getting it banned.

In order to protect your Facebook ad account, there are many things you can be doing, and some of these things are:

  • Website Requirements
  • Personal Account Requirements
  • Business Manager Account Requirements

If you prefer to watch the video version of this blog post you can find it here below

Before digging deeper into all of these requirements you must keep in mind that "Facebook tries to ensure good Ads quality to make sure that its users are satisfied."

So facebook sends a follow-up email to your customer and asks about shipping conditions and product quality, and Facebook gives your store a score.

If your score is lower than 2 this means you can’t run ads, if it’s higher than 2 this means you are safe and you can run ads.

Ensuring a good Page Score is essential for you to keep using this advertising platform, that is why the first point we will start with is "how to avoid low page score for your Facebook page?"

#1 How to Avoid low page score

There are 2 things that you should be focusing on here:

  • Providing Better shipping conditions
  • Providing High-quality products

This can be a big problem for people who are dropshipping their products and in this case, here are some things that you should be doing:

  • Try to find closer suppliers to your customers

  • Be honest and very clear about your shipping time

  • Try to work with local supplier

  • Ensure high-quality products by checking your products reviews on your supplier website, asking your supplier to provide samples for the products you want to sell, and finally trying your products yourself

  • Send follow-up emails to customers who have purchased from you so if a customer has any problem they will get back to you, not to Facebook

A low Page score can throw you out of the games and leave you wondering "how the hell am I going to make new sales?"

Well here is the problem with relying entirely on ads to bring traffic!

You are putting all your eggs in one basket and you are relying entirely on a platform that you don't own to scale your business!

Running ads is something very important and can insanely scale your business.

But...

If you want a strong and sustainable business you should not be putting all your eggs in one basket, and you should be working on different kinds of marketing strategies.

Here are some ideas:

  • Collect your customer leads
  • Improve your SEO
  • Improve your social media profiles
  • Enhance your presence to improve your organic traffic

But the best thing you can ever do and the best strategy you can ever rely on is to create a strong relationship with your customers in order to retain them and make them your loyal customers.

And for this, you must be applying a specific framework to your business that allows you to attract, retain and convert your customers!

To understand this framework better, I recommend you to sign up for my free workshop.

In this workshop, I show you step by step the road that you should be taking to:

  • Make your business sustainable
  • Diversify your marketing channels
  • Stop basing your business ENTIRELY on Facebook ads!

#2: Website Requirements

The first thing you should do is ensuring that your store looks professional because Facebook will actually go to your store to make sure it is not spammy!

In addition to that, here is a small checklist of other things you must follow:

  • Use a custom domain name ex: www.domainname.com
  • Include all required pages in your store like: about us page, privacy policy page, terms and conditions, shipping, and returns
  • Use unique content and never copy your product descriptions or blog posts from other websites

PS: Facebook wants to make sure that your customers have the best experience ever in your store, that's why you should be providing all these fundamental pages for users' experience.

#3: Your Facebook personal account

When running ads you will be running ads through your business manager but at the same time, you will be using your own personal account to run ads.

If you are using your own personal account, by this I mean the account you have been using for years, facebook will easily know that there is a real person behind the account and most probably you will be safe.

However, if you want to use a brand new Facebook account in this case things will be more tricky because you need to prove to Facebook that you are a person first, before starting to run ads.

Before starting running ads in a brand new Facebook account:

  • Start using to new personal account for a few weeks to make it look natural (add photos, add friends, engage with them, and create a pattern of organic behavior...)

  • Then start your business account and run ads

This should make facebook decide that you are a real person but my personal recommendation for you is to use our personal account to avoid getting banned. You will be on the safe side!

Bonus tip:

I highly recommend taking the Facebook ads policy course, this will be mentioned on your profile, and Facebook will know that you take this course and this will make you more trustworthy.

#4: Business Manager Account Requirements

Using a Business account to run your ads is mandatory in my opinion. Never run ads from your personal account directly.

So assuming that you are already using Facebook Business Manager, here are some things that you must do:

  • Register and verify your business
  • Add multiple people to manage your business account
  • Fill out all your business information
  • Add multiple payment methods and link them to your ad account
  • Create multiple ad accounts ( As much as Facebook allows you)
  • Verify your domain and set up your events

Final deas

As digital marketing is always subjected to new updates and rules, it is always better and safer to diversify your marketing channels and avoid building your entire traffic upon one platform.

People who rely on Facebook ads only have unhealthy business models that can collapse whenever a new update goes live. This is actually what is happening to many of the businesses after the new apple updates.

To ensure your business sustainability, I highly recommend you structure your business correctly and focus mainly on how to retain your customers and increase your followers base.
